January means New Years and Daruma dolls in Japan.
So we made our own Daruma dolls!

First, we crumpled newspaper into a round shape to make the Daruma’s body.

Then, we painted with watered-down glue and carefully covered the Daruma with red tissue paper.

The paper was easy to tear, so it was a little tricky, but everyone did their best!

Next week, we will add the eyes and body patterns to finish our Daruma dolls☺️
We can’t wait to see them completed! ✨
