To conclude 2022 and a wonderful year of art studies, our K3 class has created a single piece to combine several different themes we have studies throughout the year. Since it is the festive season now, we created a Christmas tree drawing, however, it’s a Christmas tree with a twist.

This Christmas tree was drawn in the usual normal style, but contains several different artistic themes within it. We made an abstract star shape to top the tree, a 3-D plant pot drawn from a different perspective at the bottom, African patterns within a segment of the tree, cross-patterns and shapes made using rulers, and detailed traditional Christmas ornaments drawn free hand.

The combination of these different styles, as well as using a range of crayons, markers and pencils to add colours, has led to each pupil crating a truly special and unique Christmas tree.

Everyone has worked so hard over the year so far, I’m so pleased to see everyone end 2022 with such a unique art piece. I hope you enjoy our designs as much as we all do! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
