Hello Thursday readers and welcome back! I hope you’re excited for the upcoming holiday. I sure love golden week!

Last week, they focused on warm colors. This week, we used cool ones. Cool colors are colors that make you feel relaxed and calm (blue, green and purple for example).

Using easy materials, we started off with some light sketching. Students made “waves” through their canvases that they would soon paint in.

Next, the students enjoyed preparing the paint. With a little touch of water, they mixed their paint as a class.

“We can all do purple together.”

After the paint was ready, they began their painting. They were very focused at first. However, towards the end, the cool colors seemed to have relaxed them.

They created some beautiful pieces! Here are their artworks.
