Karaoke!

In today’s Social Studies class, we continued to learn about famous Japanese inventions.

Last week, we studied about Cup Noodles. This week was karaoke!

The first karaoke machine was invented in 1971 by musician Daisuke Inoue. Since then it has gone on to become one of the most beloved forms of entertainment in Japan.

Most kids have been to karaoke with their families. Of course it’s difficult to do so at the moment, but that didn’t stop us from having fun at school.

We bust out some familiar tunes:

Try Everything from the Zootopia movie.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, try everything!

I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day.

Let the bells ring out for Christmas

Baby Shark!

Baby shark, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo!

And the theme from Titanic!

Near, far, wherever you are

And many more!

The kids didn’t want the fun to end, but the telephone rang in the karaoke booth and we had to call it a night.

But we’ll be back again!
