Today, our preaccess class delved into the art of Yayoi Kusama. Renowned for her iconic polka dots, Kusama’s works convey unity, infinity, and connection.

Inspired by Kusama’s signature style, students were given pumpkin cutouts and markers. The task? Fill these pumpkins with colorful dots. Simple in execution but rich in outcome, each dotted pumpkin became a canvas of creativity and expression.

Beyond just art, this project introduced our K1 class to patterns, repetition, and a touch of Japanese culture. As we concluded, a sea of vibrant pumpkins showcased each student’s unique touch.
