No Gold, No Silver, No Problem!

Hello Thursday readers and welcome back! We’ve got another flash of excitement for you today. This month, our focus is on finger painting. Last week, we made bubbles and this week we made. . . Fireworks!

Today’s process started by students cutting out letters of their name. Some enjoyed it and thought it was “easy” cause they have a short name.

Then, students moved onto preparing their paint palettes. Students wanted gold and silver for flashy fireworks but we didn’t have those colors. However. . . We made it!

“It looks like real gold and silver”

We mixed brown and yellow to make gold and black and white to make silver.

This is when the fun began. Students dipped their fingers in the different paint colors and tapped away! Adding cool mixtures of light yellow and dark yellow with our newly formed gold and silver, students created their beautiful canvases.

Here are some of the pieces before they added one final touch, their names!

It is always a pleasure to share some of these masterpieces! Have a great weekend and we’ll see you next time!
