Shamrock Friends!

We began our preaccess class by learning about the significance of Saint Patrick’s Day, discussing how it is celebrated and why the shamrock/clover is a symbol of this festive occasion. After gaining insights into the holiday, we embarked on a hands-on art project. Each child crafted their own shamrock friend to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day.

First, we carefully cut out shamrock shapes, paying attention to detail. Then, with great care and creativity, we added faces and googly eyes to bring our shamrocks to life.

To complete our creations, we fashioned arms and legs using colorful pipe cleaners. The children joyfully watched their shamrock friends take shape, each one unique and charming.

Finally, we proudly displayed our shamrock friends on the classroom walls, adding a festive touch to our learning space.

As we wrapped up our preaccess session, the room was filled with smiles and a sense of accomplishment.
