Citrus Fruit Prints

Recently in art class we have been exploring color. P2 classroom made some beautiful prints using lemons and limes. In the morning we cut some lemons and limes into halves and let them dry in the sun. By the afternoon they were less juicy and ready to use as stamps for our prints. We discussed how although lemons and limes look and taste very similar limes are green and lemons are yellow. We decided so we can remember which fruit each stamp came from we would use green paint for the limes and yellow for the lemons.

The completed artworks look so wonderful hanging on our classroom wall.

Well done Chipmunks!
