Show and Tell!

At PAP, we believe it’s important to give plenty of opportunities for pupils to express themselves through speaking as often as possible. To encourage confidence, excitement, and interest in speaking English, every pupil in K1, K2, and K3 classes are allowed several chances to take part in Show and Tell activities!

Show and Tell time happens four times a week. This means that as well as having many opportunities to see their friends’ items, it means that your turn to present is never far away!

Not only can pupils participate through describing their own items in depth, they can also develop their listening and questioning skills when it’s another person’s turn. By allowing other children to listen and enquire about these exciting items, intrigue drives the eduction, ensuring the activity is always fun!

Starting Show and Tell in K1 classes allows for pupils to master their ability of asking probing questions, such as; “What is it?”, “Where did you get it?”, “Why do you like it?”, “How old is it?”, “Which do you like best?”, etc. In addition to asking these questions, pupils learn how to answer them correctly and skilfully. By the time pupils reach K3, their speaking abilities have improved drastically, all thanks to this fun daily activity!

Keep up the great work everyone, and keep speaking!
