Magic Motion Eggs!

Our young scientists and artists were tasked with creating “magic motion eggs.” Armed with aluminum foil and marbles, they set out to craft these intriguing and captivating objects.

The process began by coloring one side of the aluminum foil, adding a personal touch to their creations. Then came the fun part – placing a marble inside the foil and folding it over, securing the edges loosely.

Next, the children carefully placed their foil-wrapped marbles between two cups. They shook the cups energetically for about 20 shakes, eagerly anticipating the magic to come.

As the cups were opened, a delightful surprise awaited them – egg-shaped balls with fascinating pictures. These balls moved in intriguing and unexpected ways when rolled, much to the delight and amazement of the children.

This hands-on activity was not only a lesson in creativity but also an exploration of the science behind motion and art. It allowed the children to express themselves and discover the wonder of cause and effect.

As the session concluded, the children left with their magical creations, faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. The experience was a beautiful blend of art and science, fostering creativity and a love for learning.
