Hello Thursday readers and welcome back!

It’s a new month so you know what that means…..new activities!

Our first science project was learning about a microwave. Students hypothesized what would happen to certain objects if they were placed inside of a microwave.

”It will blow up!” said one student when asked about metal objects.

After discussing many different items, we got to our main commodity. A bar of ivory soap!

Students wrote down what would happen if we put this bar of ivory soap into the microwave. Some students were correct and even shouted, “I knew it!”

The next thing to do was to experiment.

The kids were amazed and overjoyed to see it look like a marshmallow!

They even touched it!

It was a fun day in our science lab and we’ll see you again next Thursday!
