National Disaster Prevention Day!

September 1st was National Disaster Prevention Day! So this Friday we learnt the importance of evacuating correctly and efficiently!
We must understand the importance of keeping ourselves safe if something bad happens.

Throughout the day we heard different drills, the first drill was for an earthquake.

We learnt to go under the table immediately and when it’s safe, put on a helmet and walk together down to the evacuation point.

The second drill was for a fire emergency! We learnt important tips to find our way if it’s smokey and not to run and panic. Then we had a tsunami announcement and we now know we need to get to the highest point in the building.

We went through all of the items in our emergency bags, what to put in and explain what certain items do to protect and help us in a state of emergency!
We hope everyone stays safe and has their own emergency bags at home!

Thank you for reading!
